2. **[Amazon SES](https://cloudlesslabs.com/stack/aws-ses/index.md)** (Use when it fits): When data must stay in Australia.

Don't:

- ~~Amazon Pinpoint~~: AWS ends support on 30 October 2026. Don't start anything on it; move campaigns to Resend. Instead: [Resend](https://cloudlesslabs.com/stack/resend/index.md).
- ~~Postmark~~: The best deliverability reputation, but no marketing platform, so you'd run two email vendors. Resend does transactional and marketing in one, with idempotency keys and signed webhooks. Instead: [Resend](https://cloudlesslabs.com/stack/resend/index.md).

- [Amazon SES](https://cloudlesslabs.com/stack/aws-ses/index.md): Use when it fits. The cheapest email at volume, and the only one that keeps data in Sydney. The sandbox is a pain. Pricing: New accounts default to the Essentials plan at $0.16 per 1,000 emails (since 21 July 2026); the à la carte rate of $0.10 per 1,000 can still be selected. Same rates in Sydney. Attachments add $0.12/GB, a dedicated IP $24.95 a month.
